At Houst we like to give credit where credit is due, especially when it comes to our hosts. Today, credit’s due to one of our finest hosts, based in sunny San Diego, ‘America’s Finest City’.
Meet Virginia, a hard-working, family-focused Airbnb Superhost who’s leading the way for other hosts in the San Diego community:
Virginia first became an Airbnb host 2014, after realizing her newly renovated pool house (intended for family and friends to stay over in) had the potential to earn her some extra cash when it was vacant.
Working part-time and managing the pool house by herself, Virginia was able to host and share her authentic San Diegan lifestyle with visitors from all over the world, while earning herself a Superhost badge and steady revenue in the process.
Virginia's stunning two-storey pool house is situated in Normal Heights – one of San Diego’s trendiest spots – just walking distance from a wide range of delightful shops and delicious eateries. It’s a quintessentially pleasant spot for a relaxing family getaway or small group trip for those ready to soak up some San Diegan sun while lounging near the pool. And who wouldn’t want that?!
After a few years of managing the pool house by herself, Virginia’s increasingly busy work and family schedules were beginning to make hosting a challenge. Finding reliable cleaners and co-hosts to help manage the property when she was away had become a chore. If you’ve ever tried to manage an in-demand Airbnb property by yourself for a decent length of time, this might sounds familiar…
