For unclassified accommodation, Paris calculates taxe de séjour as a percentage of the nightly accommodation price (excluding taxes), applied per person, per night, up to a cap set by the city. The exact percentage and cap for 2025 are confirmed via the official Taxe de séjour Paris portal.
For example, if the nightly price is €200 (excluding tax) and 2 guests stay for 3 nights, the tax is calculated from that base and then capped if it exceeds the city limit. Always verify the current figures on the official portal before using them in guest-facing documentation.
