From 20 May 2026, hosts offering short-term lets in Ireland must register with Failte Ireland through the national Short-Term Letting Register. Registration is expected to be completed online and will require your Personal Public Service Number (PPSN), date of birth, and the address of each unit. Once registered, you receive a registration number that must be displayed on your listing. Platforms are required to verify registration numbers and can face financial penalties for allowing listings without a valid number.
