In Western Australia, the bond for most residential tenancies is capped at 4 weeks rent. The bond must be lodged with the Bond Administrator (Consumer Protection WA) and held in trust for the duration of the tenancy. It cannot be accessed by the landlord during the tenancy and is returned at the end, less any amounts owed for unpaid rent or damage beyond fair wear and tear.
