The team is professional, responsive, and truly understands what it takes to manage short-term rentals effectively.

I’ve been incredibly lucky with Alex Taylor: professional, friendly, and always helpful. He’s handled everything brilliantly - I’d give him 6 stars if I could.

For the past year, my Houst contact has been incredibly helpful - coordinating repairs, upgrades, and even being on-site when needed. Super reliable and accommodating.

The staff is available 24/7. Messages sent are replied to very quickly. The information about the properties is detailed and clear. Everything goes very smoothly.

The house is well maintained and clean, the dashboard provides up to date and historical information & the guests are taken care of.

I have had a brilliant experience renting my property through Houst. Everyone has been very hands on and contactable which has really put me at ease.

Before you list, check the local rules. Requirements vary by council and property type in England. Hosts typically need to consider:
• Planning & permissions: Change-of-use and local caps can apply in some councils; permits may be required.
• Safety & building: Smoke/CO alarms, electrical/gas checks, and fire-safety measures are mandatory.
• Tax & records: Short-let income is taxable; keep records for returns and review local thresholds/rates.

We can have your property up and running in under a week. The amount of time it takes to list your property will depend on how quickly you can provide us with key information. If you’re committed to the process, it’ll take no time at all.
There are three key steps to our guest vetting process. Firstly, we always use official ID verification software to check that your guests are genuine. If the booking is taken through Airbnb, this is done through Airbnb’s own verification process. If the booking is through another platform, we use a third-party verification platform - giving you peace of mind (and more bookings!) when listing on multiple platforms.
Secondly, we use an application programming interface when taking payments from guests, allowing us to automatically identify any fraudulent activity. And lastly, our expert team is trained in identifying potential red flags. Our pros manually cross-reference guest details to triple-check a potential guest is genuine before accepting a booking.
15% (plus VAT/GST) of your total income goes to Airbnb. We charge our management fee (plus VAT/GST) on your gross platform earnings. This includes the booked nights and the cleaning fee.Our team will provide you with a property essentials checklist during the onboarding process which includes an initial stock of cleaning supplies and essentials for guests such as toilet paper, bin liners and toiletries. Our cleaning team will replenish these essentials as needed and items will be charged back at cost.
The guest covers the cost of the cleaning fee (which includes laundry) when making a reservation at your property. The cleaning fee is passed through to our suppliers (cleaners and laundry companies).
We provide guests with the check-in details via the platform, email and SMS leading up to the check-in. In the unlikely event that the guest has trouble getting into the home, we have guest services available 24/7 to help talk them through it.
As a general rule, we aim to respond to guests within 1 hour during business hours. This can be slightly delayed in the morning as we deal with enquiries received during the previous night. We also have on-call team members to help with any urgent guest matters outside of normal hours.
Boost returns with data-driven pricing. Dynamic rates, local demand signals, and event calendars help hosts earn more across England’s peak and shoulder seasons.
